Unclear on the classes

Postby $nipes » Sat Jan 30, 2010 1:17 pm

Im a little unclear on how the classes are set up. My lil bro was askin at Asylum Cville and they told him he couldnt race a Traxxas Rustler - *?!?

Now I have an Associated RC10 T4, similar chassis to the Rustler, can I race that? and what class would that put me in? Is there a chance for more classes to open up with the opening of the new indoor facility? Does the "3 make a class" policy still apply? I guess I have a lot of questions. I got out of RC for a year to play paintball and now I want to race again.

basically what Im askin is how are the classes divided up or could be divided up with enough people in each class?

well in all acutuallity a rustler can race and so can your t4 but you will have to run in sportsman with nitro/electric truggies buggies and MT's. But seeing that asylum will be indoor in the near future this could open the door for 1/10 electric. The outdoor track is way too big for them. please reply because i know this forum is dead and i still check it 2-3 times a day :D

I found this out over the weekend but I dont know how fair it is (to me) to race against nitros. I know I CAN get my T4 to keep pace with them, but Im not sure if I can still be competitive like that. I was thinking about just getting it to the point where it runs again and selling it for money to buy a 18th scale or a Slash. I think Im gonna watch the first race and then decide which class I wanna compete in.

i personally would go with the slash, there are usually a class of about 4-5 of them and with indoor racing coming people will have to pack up nitro for the winter and race something electric. You might not think it is fair but what would be the point of having a 1/10 electric class with one truck in it. alot of te sportsman class are first time racers or there vehicle doesnt really fit in another class. but if enough 1/10 gas and electric came youd have a class. 1/10 electric are every bit as fast as their nitro counterparts.
